Some Old Bullshit is a compilation album by the Beastie Boys released in 1994. It compiles several of their early EPs, recorded in the early 1980s. These recordings present a sound radically different from that of the hip-hop sound generally associated with the band. Instead, these songs represent the band's part in the early New York hardcore scene. The album also features taped segments originally heard on Noise the Show, a popular hardcore radio show on WNYU in New York that played early recordings from the Beastie Boys. These segments feature the hyperbolic introductions of Noise the Show's host, Tim Sommer, an early supporter of the band.

It's the most popular album by one of the greatest power pop bands of all time...and it's never been on vinyl. Welcome Interstate Managers was hailed as a classic from the day it came out in 2003, and featured the band's biggest hit with "Stacy's Mom." The songcraft and lyrical wit of Chris Collingwood and the late, great Adam Schlesinger have never been sharper; there's not a bad song on this record and a lot of them (e.g. "Bright Future in Sales;" "Hackensack") rise to the same lofty perch as "Stacy's Mom."
For RSD Black Friday, Real Gone Music presents this landmark album on a 2 x LP set inside a gatefold jacket with two printed inner sleeves featuring lyrics. Natural/black swirl vinyl matches the cover art, and there’s even a bonus track: the non-LP b-side to the “Stacy's Mom” single, “Elevator Up”! 3000 released worldwide.

Brooklyn-based rapper Half-A-Mill climbed his way up from the underground in the late ‘90s with an initial breakthrough on 1997’s one and only album by The Firm, the supergroup featuring Nas, AZ, Nature and Foxy Brown, alongside producers Dr. Dre and the Trackmasters.
After this high-profile appearance, Half-a-Mill then started setting the stage for the release of his debut album “Milíon” with the single ”Thug Ones" which featured Noreaga, Kool G Rap, and Musolini. “Milíon” became an underground classic, featuring guest appearances by AZ, Kool G Rap, Musalini, Noreaga, Ali Vegas and Spice 1, with production by Just Blaze, The Neptunes, DJ Scratch, and DJ Ali among others.

Throughout their career, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings remained in high demand both publicly and privately to recreate and often re-imagine songs by other artists. More often than not, these covers were recorded by request, commissioned for placement in movies, television programs, tribute albums, or for samples. This album compiles some of their most popular and some never-before-heard renditions Though the band mostly built their career on a prolific catalog of originals, these forays into other artists' compositions lay bare their gift for arrangement and the unmatched studio prowess that earned them their reputation as The Baddest Band in the Land.

No Business: The PPX Sessions Volume 2 continues the documentation of Jimi Hendrix’s pre-Experience sideman work with the Harlem-based R&B combo. These twelve recordings were captured at Studio 76 in 1965 [as well as two controversial sessions in July and August 1967] and offer a fascinating glimpse of Hendrix’s genius in the years before—and during—his early success. It includes the 1965 demo of the first known Hendrix composition (“Working All Day”) and shiver-inducing guitar playing that hints at the genius to come. While not a Jimi Hendrix album the music is now under the control of Experience Hendrix, and thanks to them has been lovingly restored by legendary engineer Eddie Kramer for RSD Black Friday, giving fans the chance to enjoy these tracks in their proper historical context in a numbered, limited edition brown vinyl release.

At the beginning of quarantine in April, Ed Roland was in Sarasota, Florida with a few others and they decided to start a new band and call it The Living Room. They didn’t want it to sound like Collective Soul or The Sweet Tea Project (Roland’s Americana side band) and they started talking about favorite bands to which Ed said that one of his is The Cars. On Parole, originally recorded in 1975/1976, was intended to be Motörhead’s debut album. However, things didn’t quite work out that way and it was eventually released in December 1979 after the albums Overkill and Bomber came out earlier in the year.
On Parole is the only album to feature the band's original line-up of Lemmy on vocals and bass, Larry Wallis on guitar and vocals, and Lucas Fox on drums.
Motörhead On Parole (Expanded & Remastered) will be released on RSD Black Friday in the US on 2LP & CD. It will feature the original LP, plus the 1997 bonus tracks on vinyl as a bonus 12” EP.

Mastertone Studios, NYC, 1965... Amidst mounting friction with producer Paul Rothchild, Fred Neil walks out of the unfinished sessions for what was to be his debut album, Bleecker & MacDougal. Fearing Fred wouldn't return to the studio, his friend and guitar player Peter Childs invited him over to his apartment at 38 MacDougal. According to Childs, "The best chance to get Freddie back wouldn't be to try to persuade him verbally, but to get him over to the apartment for a bit of music-making.” What transpired on that afternoon was a legendary singer-songwriter and his long-time accompanist making music for themselves in a living room setting, a one-of-a-kind private performance, captured on Ampex reel to reel, and stored for over fifty years!
The apartment recordings at 38 MacDougal were beautifully detailed in Peter Lee Neff's 2018 Fred Neil biography, That's The Bag I'm In. Fred and Peter play songs that would later wind up on Bleecker & MacDougal ("Travellin' Shoes", "Country Boy", "Gone Again", "Candy Man", "Little Bit Of Rain"), a definitive "Sweet Cocaine", and two songs that don't appear on any other Fred Neil album: the traditional folk song""Once I Had A Sweetheart", and the African-American spiritual "Blind Man Standing By The Road And Crying". (Despite the biography mentioning that the latter recording cuts off before it ends, Delmore Recording’s tape magically has the complete performance in all its glory.) Fred takes the song on a personal and deep journey, and Peter Childs adds the most perfect musical touches. It's also the first appearance on a Fred Neil record of one of the many Spiritual songs that were often a part of his live repertoire.

The audio has been remastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering, and includes extensive liner notes detailing the Jesus People Movement and its music.
